Discover a unique marketplace designed to satisfy every culinary desire. Whether at the café, juicery, artisanal bakery, full-service restaurant, specialty store, or craft cocktail lounge, explore Rowhouse at your own pace and pleasure. Once inside, know that only the finest organic, seasonal ingredients, sourced from Western New York’s local farms, sustain our unrivaled marketplace. Our gourmet offerings reflect the architecture, craftsmanship and historic character of our building – elevated with a touch of modernity.
Rowhouse Bakery & Restaurant is located in three beautiful Delaware Avenue brownstones, each built in 1890, in an area once known as the Midway Plaisance. “Midway” reflects the building’s location between Niagara Square and Forest Lawn Cemetery, and “Plaisance” refers to the “pleasantness” of their once park-like setting.
In the 1930s, Frederick Pike – an Interior Architect and Designer who owned and worked in the building – created the striking glass front windows on Delaware Avenue. The two cast-iron figures above the window, a craftsman and an artist, served as the inspiration for Rowhouse’s logo, which features a butcher and baker.
While retaining its important colonial-revival and Queen Anne architectural features, the space has been restored and modernized to create a welcoming and relaxing neighborhood hub.
Spend your mornings in our Café with house-made espressos, pour over, and drip coffee with the best single and estate sourced beans – all locally roasted.
Rowhouse juices are “cold-pressed” fresh daily on site with fruits and vegetables sourced from local farms. For lunch, order your wood-fired pizza, specialty salad or sandwich at the Café Counter. If you seat-yourself or have to run, we have good food at your pace.
Rowhouse Bakery uses hand-shaping processes, wood-fired ovens and specialized stone hearth decks. Our Head Baker Walter Grohs trained our staff to use fermented and sprouted grains and flour with a long slow rise. Our sweet and savory pastries and croissants are made daily using farm fresh local eggs, fruits and cheeses.

Casual & Refined Fare
Rowhouse pays homage to the dining establishments of our past in a beautiful, yet unpretentious, setting. Our talented Head Chef Nick Schabert’s in-house dining menu is seasonally based with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients that are prepared in our wood-fire brick oven and Argentinian wood fired grill. Herbs and vegetables come from our own in-house vertical growing racks as well as local farms and our own farm located in East Aurora, New York.
For lunch or dinner, join us for a meal and place you won’t soon forget.
Rowhouse Cocktail Lounge is elegantly positioned before two-story windows facing Delaware Avenue. Locally made spirits and beer are featured using in-house cold pressed juices and spices such as hops from our Hunter Valley Hop Farm. An accessible wine selection is available as well as an elevated selection for pairing with a bite to eat or conversation
The menu has been carefully crafted – and seasonally updated – to explore new flavors and enhance your experience.
